I am simply a woman who is learning to trust the Lord. And the only way I know how to do this is to seek Him--through prayer, worship, His Word, and relationship with His people.
The writings you'll find here are the expressions of what I discover about Him as I seek and find Him. My hope is that, as you read them, you will meet the One they reveal--that these words will be a means of bringing God to you.
In Him,

Christa A. Beemer is a student of God, the Bible, people, and history. Her passion is first discovering the heart of God as it is revealed in His Word and in His active presence in the lives of His people throughout time and then making known this heart to others. The cry of her heart is that Christ will be revealed in the earth for who He truly is and that people will be brought low before Him, every knee bowing, every mouth confessing that He is Lord--here, now.
Statement of Faith
Jesus is a real Person.
He is all God, all man--the Word of God made flesh.
He came to be Emmanuel, God with us, because we were unable in our sin to be with God.
Sin--the love of self that causes us to serve ourselves--is alive in every person, making us unlike God and separating us from Him.
This sin is evil. It works death in us and in the earth, and God hates it. His holy nature burns against it, and He has to judge it.
But no man can withstand His judgment. No man's heart is pure.
So God sent Jesus, in all His holy purity, to take the judgment for us.
Jesus did this by dying on the cross, offering His life for us.
But because there was no sin in Him, there was no death in His heart. He rose from the dead, triumphant over it, thereby granting us not only forgiveness but LIFE--forever.
And He ascended into heaven, where He is Lord over all--forever.
When we genuinely ask Him to be Lord over us and surrender our hearts to Him, He comes into our hearts by His Spirit. The Holy Spirit of God dwells in us.
This Holy Spirit works in us to make us like Jesus.
He overcomes sin in us and makes our hearts pure and draws us into relationship with God by revealing Him to us.
He reveals Him most strongly through the Bible.
The Bible is the written Word of God, penned by men but authored by God.
It is infallible, full of power, and true, according to the truth of God, not the interpretation of mankind.
We in ourselves are powerless to understand the thoughts and ways of God presented in His Word. But the Holy Spirit helps us understand and guides us into truth.
A big part of this truth is that God the Father sent Jesus to die for us and gives us His own Spirit because He loves us. He--the Lord God Almighty who is greatly to be feared--loves us!
And He has a plan for each one of our lives.
Part of this plan is that He wants us to love the way He loves--to love one another the way He loves us.
So He joins us to one another through His Church.
And we discover there that perfect love doesn't look like people who don't fail; it looks like love that doesn't fail even when we do.
And isn't that the whole message of the Bible?
And isn't that why He is worthy of our trust? 100%.
